It is recommended that visitors wait at least three days before climbing that much elevation. In the winter, the hike should only be attempted by those experienced in winter hiking.

The BreckConnect Gondola is one of the top Breckenridge attractions for outdoor enthusiasts. In the winter months, the BreckConnect Gondola is filled with bundled-up skiers and snowboarders.
The Gondola brings you to Peak 7 & 8, which are popular ski spots.
In the summer months, it stays open from June 18th to September 11th from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM for those who want to enjoy the ride for other reasons like wandering the peaks and visiting the restaurants.

Isak Heartstone is a famous landmark in Breckenridge, Colorado. This fifteen-foot wooden sculpture is made of recycled materials and is located not too far from downtown Breckenridge.
Travelers from all over try to find Isak. He got his name from three little girls that came by and gave Isak a stone heart. This story inspired the sculpture that was created during the Breckenridge Festival of International Arts.
The path to finding Isak is located in the Stephen C. West Ice Arena parking lot, next to Illinois Gulch Trailhead.
This short fifteen-minute hike brings you down a wooded path until you reach Isak. There are also free shuttle buses that bring you near Isak.
